Slow progress..or none at all?

I am concerned with my last outing taking photos.. I am having trouble getting the images I know are there..I know my camera is capable of capturing them..I just can't seem to get everything set-up just right. I know it is only my third or forth time out taking photos..but I am discouraged with the material I am producing. I don't have a firm grasp just yet on the camera settings and it bugs me. I know it will take practice..practice..and then more practice.. I almost didn't post any of my new images from last shoot..but decided I would even though it looks like I am going a little "backwards". I am self-taught and know I must push-on..even when I get disheartened...

I have for many years been an avid Urban Explorer, always looking for abandoned places to explore.I get such an overwhelming awe when I visit these places that have been forgotten,to watch Nature reclaim these places is incredible.I always wanted to be able to share these places I explore with other people..so I saved and purchased a Canon Rebel XSi..I have the equipment..now I have to figure out the methods,I hope to bring you to these places with me as I learn how to use a camera, I am just starting out on this road and already see it may consume my life.
